"C. The director shall establish by rule MINIMUM training standards for staff and volunteers who work in a certified assisted living facility or nursing care institution that provides memory care services. The training standards shall include a minimum of eight hours of initial training and four hours of annual continuing education. The department shall provide staff and volunteers who complete the training a certificate of completion that may be used to work at any assisted living facility or nursing care institution that is certified to provide memory care services. If a staff member or volunteer has not worked at an assisted living facility or nursing care institution that is certified to provide memory care services for a period of ten months, the person is required to repeat the initial training."
